A Couple Of Things...

I've been craving this book for a long time and I finally bought it.  I don't even have the words to describe how much I lurve this book, but I DO...lurve it, that is.  Soooo many great ideas...I'm gobsmacked.

Here is the painting I did on a wooden plaque.  I aged it a tad bit and painted the back and sides of it a nice Christmas-y red color:

 

And here is a "before" picture of the window seat slash bench thing I mentioned:

Yes, that truly IS black vinyl on it at the moment.  Not good.  There are a bunch of upholstery nails to pull out and then about a near million staples.  Ugh.  I may regret this before all is said and done. Wish me luck.
  
 

Who, Me???

I'm one of the featured artists on Mixed Media Collage Artists group as of December 1st.  Don't know exactly what that means for certain sure, but there you have it.   Nothing much is going on around here.  We're supposed to get a wing-ding of a storm today, but so far not much is happening.  It's cloudy and a bit spitty with rain and that's it.  I have a sinus headache, if that's telling in any way, shape or form.  I've started the process of removing fabric from a window seat/bench thingy that I won at the last auction.  I'm going to re-do it if all goes as planned.  I'll take some before and after pictures to post here later on...don't anyone hold their breath, because it may take me a goodly amount of time to complete the project.  I've never upholstered anything before (that I can recall) so it may turn out to be a total disaster.  More to follow...

Doing a little painting on wood.  It's not finished yet, but I like it so far.
