Since hubby and I started making wine bottle lights, it seems everyone and their bow-wow is doing the same thing. I've seen bottle lights all over the place lately...well, here are the latest...we found these awesomely cool slanted bottles at Renninger's. Yes, they are slanted...don't know how or why, but they do slant. We have two of them but only one has a hole drilled in it so far:
And this one was a totally plain bottle with no label or anything that I decorated with fleur de lys designs and frosted glass:
Epic. I'm getting ready to make a chalkboard out of an old dresser mirror frame and some wood that's been cut to fit the opening where the mirror would go:
I'm going to paint the frame with Annie Sloan Chalk Paint in Pure White, I think, then wax it with Rugger Brown wax. I have to slide out to the garage to get the chalkboard paint...I could use the Annie Sloan, but we have some actual chalkBOARD paint, so I'll use that instead.
Other than that, I swear if one more person asks about coming down here to visit and stay in the carriage house while the place is all torn up and my handyman has gone walk-about somewhere, I'm going to have to commit a felony. You have been warned...
